Gaijatra, the festival of cows, is celebrated in Nepal, mainly in Kathmandu valley by the Newar and Tharu community. The festival commemorates the death of people during the year. During the festival, cows are marched in the streets and generally celebrated in the Nepalese month of Bhadra.
On this occasion a comedy Gai Jatra program ‘Luto Na Kanai’ has been lunched by Surendra Kc (Mulaa Saag) and Shiva Sankar Rijal (Jyogindar). The program provides humorous entertainment in a satirical way to the different responsible bodies of the nation. The program consists of songs, drama, interview etc in a very much satirical ways.
In the program the artists have poured their bitter anger to the political parties as they are not being able to conclude people’s mandates as they had promised before. The artists in the program are speaking representative voice of citizens, whatever they are perceiving and feeling nowadays, with the worst political practice in the top level.
